A guided start, and a rebuilt door for AI

New boards now open with a short walkthrough instead of an empty canvas, and the way an outside AI reaches a board was taken apart and rebuilt. Agents that used to spend several minutes working out how to connect now start editing on the first try.

New

  • A short intro on first open. Cards, lines, right-click menus and the toolbar, highlighted in place. Tick don't show again at the end and it stays gone.
  • The intro can be turned off on the first card, not only the last. Tick don't show this again and it is gone — no need to sit through twenty steps to say so. File ▸ Run intro again brings it back.
  • A live server status in the invite panel. The AI page now says whether the board's door is online, with a refresh button when you need to re-check.
  • The grid is taught. The intro now covers grid settings and snapping.

Changed

  • The AI invite is a fifth of its old length. It carries the address, the protocol and the key — the things a client cannot learn until it connects — and nothing else. Everything about how a board works is now sent by the server itself the moment an agent connects.
  • Every board tool leads with a plain sentence. Agents no longer have to inspect a tool before using it, which was the single biggest source of wasted time.
  • Grid settings moved to the left, under the tool pad, instead of opening over the inspector on the right.
  • Agents report what they did, not what they are about to do. The rule now reaches every AI seat rather than two of the four.

Fixed

  • Helper buttons stopped working after a few uses. Activity entries pointing at shapes could not be flown to; they can now.
  • Codex refused to start when a board entry collided with one already in your own Codex config. The board now registers under its own name.
  • The board door could report itself ready before it was. A connecting client would then time out against a port nothing was listening on.
  • The ACP connection box now fills in the board address instead of leaving it blank for you to find.
  • Text now scales when you resize a card. Making a node bigger left the words at their old size.
  • The colour picker no longer covers Apply. Picking a custom colour opened the system picker on top of the button you needed, leaving a sliver to aim at.
  • The custom colour box stays open until you choose. Clicking anywhere else used to close it and throw away the colour you were previewing — only Apply, Cancel and Escape close it now.
  • Lines to a picture, clip or PDF follow its bar. They could point at empty space above the card once the bar was no longer showing.
